Collection analysis comparison data released

A summary comparison of the Maine Collections’ collection analysis carried out at the 23 libraries is now available.

The two biggest takeaways are: 1) the large numbers of titles owned by libraries that have an existing Maine Shared Collections retention commitments at another libraries means plenty of weeding opportunities. 2) very few titles in a library’s collection are identified as Maine Shared Collections retention commitment candidates, which means the retention demands have not be viewed as onerous.
