Local Tasks to be performed
- Withdrawns: Create a list of items to be withdrawn using a record set. MIN staff will bulk change the record status to deleted. These items will remain in the system until the periodic final deletion process to completely remove any deleted records from the system. This process is more complex, so the initial delete will serve to show the item has been withdrawn from the system and is not available to patrons. Staff can find these deleted items by using a record set search, which may be helpful for collection development ordering or deleted record counts.
- Extend Due Date: create a record set of items due according to existing documentation. This is useful in cases where the library is unexpectedly closed, such as a snowstorm. MIN staff will bulk change the due date to the date of library’s choice.
- Set Days Closed table. Periodically provide a list of days closed to MIN staff via a support ticket. MIN staff will add those dates to the system so that accurate due dates can be reflected at patron check out.
Periodicals, Magazines, Serials, or Journals
It is recommended to follow a standard of input when attaching items to these kinds of
