Application for Membership
MILS (https://mils.polarislibrary.com) is a fully-functioning integrated library catalog system that is being launched with the intent of meeting the needs of small libraries and connecting them to the broader MaineCat environment.
Currently there are 9 libraries live in the system and using MILS for their daily operation. Libraries that are interested in migrating to the new MILS system are now invited to apply for membership by filling out the MILS application form linked below.
MILS APPLICATION FORM
The application includes many questions- to help you prepare to complete the application the complete list of questions is provided in pdf form here.
Maine InfoNet staff and the Maine State Library Library Consultants will review applications in an ongoing basis as they are received. We are actively working with libraries to move them to this system with schedules based on mutual workloads, difficulty of migration, and training availability.
