MSCS were included in the column “Curating Collective Collections” which appeared in the September, 2013 edition of “Against the Grain”. The column mentioned MSCS’s decision to join the HathiTrust, the development of the Memorandum Of Understanding, decision to contract with Sustainable Collection Services, and plans to disclose retention commitments in OCLC. Thanks to the author Emily Stambaugh and Column Editor Sam Demas for including MSCS.

The Chronicle of Higher Education has published an article on shared print, which features a section on the work of the Maine Shared Collections Strategy (MSCS). The main focus of the article is the Northeast Regional Library Print Management Project, which includes representatives from MSCS libraries.
MSCS mentioned in Library Journal information docket
The Library Journal have filed a information docket on the August 11th Bangor Daily News OP-Ed written by MSCS Program Manager Matthew Revitt on the work of the project.
