Summaries of both the June 10th MSCC Executive Committee and August 4th Collections & Operations Committee meetings are now available.

Maine Shared Collections would like to welcome its newest member, Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Maine Medical Center is both the first medical library and first MILS library consortium participating in MSCC. Maine Shared Collections now has 42 member libraries participating from across the state of Maine.

All MSCC monograph commitments, from libraries that are also members of OCLC have been registered in OCLC using the shared print flag. This process included migrating commitments from the second shared print symbols to the library’s main symbols.  The second shared print symbols have now been decommissioned.

All approximately 130,000 titles committed as part of the 2019 MSCC group collection analysis are now recorded in Sierra and will be visible in the URSUS, Minerva, CBBNet, Portland Public library, and MaineCat catalogs. A big thank you to the libraries and their staff for their work on this project.
